Twenty Months Old

At twenty months, Cooper is keeping us entertained.  Some days he is a perfect angel, making us smile and laugh all day long.  Other days, he seems to be entering into the terrible twos.
-
His vocabulary is increasing, and he is trying out lots of new words.  Among my favorites is "yogurt" (which sounds something like "ogre").  He FINALLY says "Mommy," music to my ears!
-
It's been hot here, but he LOVES to be outside, so we try to do that as often as we can.  We go to a local lake early some mornings and feed the ducks and geese,

to the zoo,

or the Ellington Agricultural Center to see the police horses.

Did I mention that he likes animals??

We have been to "Dragon Park" with our MOPS group, where there is a dragon covered with mosaics (you can't tell much from this picture, but it's really cool).

Some days we just stay home and get in the wading pool
or eat popsicles in the swing.
All in all, we're having a good summer.  Don is working shorter hours this summer, which has been really nice, and we're hoping to take a day trip or two before it's over.  I love summer anyway, but getting to share it with Cooper is making it more fun than ever.  Life is good.
