Iris Time in Tennessee (well, almost)

The Ellington Agricultural Center has an iris garden, which is beautiful when the irises are in full bloom. These pictures are taken from the top of the hill looking down on the garden.

They have an iris festival every year which they try to time for when the irises will be at their peak. It is this weekend. Unfortunately, everything seems to be running a little late this year, and the irises weren’t quite ready. We did get to see some of the early bloomers though.

We had a nice walk there with the dogs and took a few other pictures. Everything is so beautiful right now. We are hoping to go back in a week or two and maybe catch the irises at a better time.
